Located a mere 50 metres from the 18th-century Ottoman Nuruosmaniye Mosque, the 3-star Meddusa Hotel Istanbul is around 5 minutes' walk from the palace Museum of Turkish and Islamic Arts. A short way from the Hagia Sophia, this Istanbul hotel with 16 rooms features currency exchange and a lift.

Situated in the Old City Sultanahmet district of Istanbul, the hotel is merely 1.5 km from the Boukoleon Palace. The Meddusa Istanbul is also within reach of such natural sights as the historical urban Gulhane Park. The bustling Galata Bridge lies 18 minutes' walk away, while Vezneciler-Istanbul Ueniversitesi is 950 m from the property. Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen International airport is a 47-minute drive away, while Sirkeci railway station is not far from the hotel.

All of the air-conditioned rooms are appointed with Wi-Fi along with coffee/tea making facilities, and some of them include a mini-kitchen and a dining area. Guests will find hair dryers and free toiletries in bathrooms fitted with a separate toilet and a shower. Some of these air-conditioned rooms face the garden.

Review by hotel critic

During my recent stay at Meddusa, I encountered significant service challenges that overshadowed the culinary experiences I eagerly anticipated. The hotel's restaurant offered a complimentary buffet breakfast that included a diverse selection, featuring flaky pastries and savory olives, reminiscent of the flavors of home in Seoul. I enjoyed the ambiance, which elegantly blended local charm with modern decor. In an effort to unwind from a day of exploration, I visited the bar/lounge. The inventive cocktails crafted from local ingredients were a highlight, providing a refreshing twist that was much appreciated after a long day. My overall experience was unfortunately marred by an incident involving my wife, who suffered injuries from a shattered shower door. Despite my immediate request for assistance, the reception response was lacking, and necessary support took hours to materialize. Our room was not attended to promptly, leaving us in an uncomfortable and distressing situation. While Meddusa's culinary offerings have the potential to delight, my hope is to receive the attention and care they deserve, ensuring that extraordinary flavors are matched by impeccable service.
